ecial times require special solutions for the European audiological community:  Due to the Covid 19 pandemics, the “regular” EFAS congresses had to be  postponed by 2 years (i.e. Šibenik in 2023, Vienna in 2025). However, audiological innovations in science and in clinical and technical audiology proceed quickly . This definitely calls for a European congress of Audiology in May 2021 as a “no-touch  solution” -  and here it is: The EFAS board in collaboration with our Šibenik Congress president Robert Trotic and the non-profit organisation HörTech is honored to announce the first online EFAS congress with support from the industry, the Cluster of Excellence Hearing4all (Oldenburg and Hanover) and from the German Audiological Society (DGA).

Even though our programme shows a largely compressed version of a “regular” EFAS congress, it still holds many characteristic elements:

6 focus sessions on the topics originally planned for the Šibenik congress (highlighting one or two speakers without anticipating the full meeting schedule in two years),

16 highlighted free paper presentations ( to be selected among your submissions by the conference committee),

an industry online exhibition plus 2 special industry highlight sessions,

an online free paper session (with chats to enable a discussion, deadline: April 1st 2021) and

an online poster forum (accessible 24 hours, deadline: April 1st 2021)

accreditation for continuous (medical) education by EACCME (pending) an ÄKN (12 points completed)

attractive price performance ratio (full registration: 75 €, young professionals and students: 25 €)

awards for best poster and best young investigator contribution
