Despite the fact that surgery has a better outcome than ever in terms of safety, cosmetic and functional results, the ambition should still be to avoid surgery if possible, because it leaves anadolescent child with a surgically fused, immobilized spine with many screws and metal rods for therest of his life.

Brace treatment has been proven effective in preventing or slowing the deterioration of scoliosis.

Among others, the well-known experienced scoliosis scientists and clinicians Dr. Manuel Rigo, (ES, Rigo-Cheneau brace), Dr. Ane Simony (DK, Providence Night time brace), Dr. Diederik Kempen(NL, Boston brace) and Dr. Dirk Schrander (NL, Maastricht brace) will each present evidence in favor of their concepts.
