‘EMDR for specific phobias’

Specific phobias are quite prevalent, sometimes associated with high levels of impairment and an important risk factor for the development of other mental disorders. We all are familiar with fear of heights, spiders, flying or the blood injection phobia. Although commonly treated with CBT, also EMDR has proven to be an effective and efficient therapy for specific phobias. In the webinar the specifics of phobias will be explained, target selection will be discussed and case examples and video’s displaying the most effective treatment strategies will be shown. And all of course in the light of the existing evidence base.
