15th European Renal Pathology Course, Amsterdam, 10-13 november 2020. Deze cursus wordt voor de 15e keer georganiseerd in het AMC. Zie het volledige programma.

This four-days course has been designed for pathologists, nephrologists, paediatric nephrologists and residents in these disciplines.

During the first day, attention will be given to the newest developments and insights in renal pathophysiology, clinical nephrology and renal histopathology. The second and third day consist largely of a fully digitalized practical course - all participants will have a laptop computer at their disposal to study biopsies with virtual microscopy, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy in an integrated fashion. During these practical sessions, the faculty will be present for discussion. On Friday is one separate day on renal transplant pathology. 

Throughout the course, the emphasis lies on the recognition of histological patterns, in combination with clinical symptoms in order to establish the diagnosis. Characteristic cases as well as more complex and rare cases will be covered. 

After completion of the course, the attendants will be able to recognize the histopathological characteristics of both frequently occuring and rare renal diseases, and generate an appropriate differential diagnosis.
