Digital technologies for bone augmentation in oral surgery: Modern, clinically relevant concepts
Lectures:Discover the digital techniques for vertical and horizontal bone augmentation procedures. CAD-CAM 3D printed surgical cutting guides will be employed for harvesting bone blocks, sinus augmentation and bone reduction procedures following total extraction. In addition, customized bone augmentation using 3D printed titanium mesh will be practiced.
Hands-on Digital planning of surgical cutting guides:Learn how to integrate Cone Beam CT datasets and Intraoral scans and design surgical cutting guides using Nemostudio software. Advanced digital techniques for virtual tooth extraction, digital bone reduction and virtual bone block preparation will be taught.Cutting guide fabrication using 3D printing:Use CelRobox microfilament 3D printer to manufacture the cutting guide. Learn about the power of 3D printing for bone augmentation procedures in oral surgery.Hands-on exercises:Design and manufacture your own 3D cutting guided to practice on animal cadavers in the world famous Geistlich training center in the Netherlands.
