The European Congress on Thrombosis and Haemostasis Congress Foundation is a foundation that was established in 2015. The aim of ECTH is to offer the best of science and practice to clinicians and researchers in the field of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Furthermore, ECTH would like to offer an unprecedented opportunity to learn and to meet and for valuable connections to be made between clinicians, researchers and industry experts from across the globe.
ECTH has the ambition to be the biennial premier European scientific conference for Healthcare professionals, specialists, enterprise researchers and clinicians treating bleeding and clotting disorders, offering a comprehensive scientific and clinical education across a broad set of current and soon-to-be released studies, new findings, treatments and products.
The first European Congress of Thrombosis and Haemostasis will be an important event for the advancement of Thrombosis and Haemostasis in Europe.
The bodies of governance of EBMT are: the Board (The Administrative body responsible for defining the strategic direction of the ECTH and running operations and decisions), the Scientific Council (defines and evaluates the scientific and education policy of the ECTH) and the Working Parties. Moreover, the board of ECTH is divided into three departments: ETCH Board (or Organizing Committee), Senior Advisory Board and Junior Advisory Board.
The general topics of the ECTH congress are as follows:

In 2016 the first edition of the ECTH took place in The Hague, The Netherlands. We welcomed over 750 participants from 45 different countries. Half of those participants had less than 7 years of clinical practice, achieving our goal of attracting talents that will shape the future of thrombosis and haemostasis.

It is our purpose to bring together the best of European science in the field in a biennial congress. ECTH also aims at pioneering new avenues in the presentation and communication of research. We have the ambition to grow into the most important event for the advancement of Thrombosis and Haemostasis in Europe.

Over a 2 1/2 day meeting, the highlights will be three Plenary and eight State-of-the Art lectures. In addition to selected abstract presentations, there will be guided TEDx-based science showcases in “Fast and Furious” sessions, we will host invited integrated sessions between academia and industry covering important translational achievements, and we will invite industry specialists to discuss, amongst others, drug design and regulatory issues. We will have Poster sessions, and thematic host areas where you can meet colleagues in a congenial atmosphere of new ideas and future challenges within our research area of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
