Learning objectives:

 

This meeting focuses on Rheumatic diseases that are prevalent in the Caribbean patients.

It focuses on the epidemiology, diagnosis and management of:

-Psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis

-Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

-Inflammatory arthritis in the elderly

-Rheumatic diseases in pregnancy

-Corticosteroids long-term use

-Extra-articular manifestations involving the lungs, Nervous system, Eyes.

-Update on Biosimilars and new therapies mode of action

-Adverse events related to immunotherapy

There will be a 3 hours hands-on MSK Ultrasound session where attendees will be trained in the basic of joints scanning.

 

By the end of the program the participants will be able to:

-Understand the epidemiology of Rheumatic diseases prevalent in the Caribbean

-Review the diagnosis and management of Rheumatic diseases prevalent in the Caribbean

-Integrate basic MSK ultrasound skills in their practice
