You are warmly welcomed to the Transcultural Conference “Stigma in Psychiatry”, which will take place

in Dodoma, Tanzania on November 10.-11. 2018. This year is the first time for it to be held in Tanzania’s

capital city Dodoma, and 12th time for it to be organised in Tanzania. We created a platform for Tanzanian

and Dutch and overseas Mental Health Workers to exchange knowledge and experiences with

each other about how to deal with Stigma in Mental Health disorders.

Master Classes:

Master Classes will be held at Thursday afternoon 8th and Friday afternoon 9th from 14-16 hrs.

One of the subjects will be Neuro HIV by Professor William Howlett, Neurologist of Kilimanjaro Christian

On Thursday and Friday there are site visits organized for Dutch participants

Medical Centre, Moshi Tanzania.

This conference is a collaborative effort between a team from Tanzania (Dr Erasmus Mndeme

Psychiatrist; Dr Innocent Mwombeki Psychiatrist; Dr Godwin Mwisomba MD and Mss Petty Mwambingu

from Mirembe Mental Hospital Dodoma Tanzania) and from the Netherlands. (Dr Annette Knol Psychiatrist,

Alexander Snijdewind Mension Publishers).
