On behalf of the MR in RT 2018 organizing and scientific committee we like to invite you for the 6th MR in RT symposium. The symposium to be held in the heart of Utrecht, the Netherlands from July 1 to July 3. Saturday June 30 there will be a clinical pre-meeting at the Radiotherapy department of the UMCU, followed by the openings reception of the meeting, including the opportunity to join a tour over the department to visit one or more of the 7 MRI systems in clinical operation at the radiotherapy department.
We assembled a great (and large) scientific committee to help on defining a clinically relevant and scientifically exciting program. The focus of this meeting will be scientific, with a large effort to make the meeting really multi-disciplinary and interactive.
The meeting will cover cutting edge research for MR in Radiation Therapy. This event is a must-attend for Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists and Radiologists and all scientific professionals interested in advanced Magnetic Resonance applications in Radiation Therapy.
The conference will be held in the downtown area of Utrecht, in the Nicolaï church. This church is part of the Central Museum, the oldest city museum of the Netherlands. The museum also houses Miffy’s home, the creation of Utrecht’s Dick Bruna and the Rietveld-Schröder house from 1924, the architectural highlight of De Stijl.
The meeting will be preceded by a series of parallel (clinical) break-our sessions on Saturday June 30th. These will be held at the department of Radiotherapy at the UMC Utrecht.
The meeting itself will offer ample opportunity for mingling with fellow participants during the breaks and at the informal night out on Sunday at the conference venue. The conference dinner is scheduled for Monday night in the Museum Speelklok, another museum in downtown Utrecht, that has centuries-old self-playing musical instruments on display and many of them still playing.
