In 2018 we will organize the fourth TN2 meeting (as a satellite of the Amsterdam Neuroscience annual meeting) and again reach out to the Dutch Neuroscience community, but this time entitled Innovation in Psychiatry with a focus on Neurostimulation & -inflammation. The rationale behind this meeting being that as an institute Amsterdam Neuroscience, in 2 out of 5 disease oriented research programs, is focusing on the many psychiatric disorders that share common neurobiological characteristics both in their etiology and clinical symptoms. And since translational, cross-disorder studies with a life span perspective (from early vulnerability to late disease chronicity) may enhance our knowledge and treatment possibilities for these disorders, we asked the program leaders/principle investigators of the Amsterdam Neuroscience research programs Compulsivity, Impulsivity and Attention and Mood, Anxiety and Psychiatry to take the lead.
