Als u als professional deze cursus gevolgd heeft dan wordt de presentie in principe ingegeven door de opleider. U kunt echter zelf ook presentie invoeren.

The Big Hand Event will start this in April and subsequently take place every year. The philosophy is to cover the latest developments in hand surgery and hand therapy. The formula is unique because different input will be given from the perspective of plastic (hand) surgery, orthopedic surgery, trauma surgery, rehabilitation medicine and hand therapy.

For this year’s meeting 20 April 2017, a number of internationally renowned presenters will speak on ‘what is evidence based in hand-tendon, joint, ligament, nerve surgery and hand therapy’. This first meeting will be held the day after the inaugural ceremony of professor Henk Coert.

• Sensation in the hand: Do we know what we are actually testing? – Prof. Lee Dellon

• Truth or dare in the treatment of thumb base arthritis – Dr. Tyson Cobb

• The distal radio-ulnar joint: what have we learned from its complex anatomy? – Dr. Jan-Ragnar Haugstvedt

• Ligament injuries in the wrist: Do we need repair them all? – Prof. Steven Moran

Symposium

A. Doel en doelgroep/ingangsniveau
Geschikt voor ervaren en onervaren therapeuten zowel handtherapeuten als fysiotherapeuten in de
periferie die patiënten behalen met hand en pols problemen
B. Globale inhoud, didactische werkwijze, aantal contacturen en zelfstudie- uren, wel of geen toetsing (en eventuele consequentie)
Het programma duurt van 9.00 uur – 17.30 uur en zal door verschillende ervaren docenten worden
gegevens. Docenten zijn fysiotherapeuten, bewegingswetenschapper, revalidatie artsen, plastisch chirurg. Deze module heeft 7 contacturen.
Onderwerpen oa
– zenuwuitval – behandeling en testen
- laatste update over CMC artrose van de duim behandeling
- ligament en van de pols
- laatste ideeën van flexor pees letsels
Het zijn alle hoorcolleges en er is geen examen of toets.

Het Erasmus MC is al jarenlang een (inter-)nationaal erkend centrum voor handchirurgie. Omdat operatie en nabehandeling hand in hand gaan, is ook de handtherapie in Rotterdam sterk ontwikkeld. 

De Esser Masterclass Hand Therapy opleiding is bedoeld voor fysio- en ergotherapeuten die beginnend zijn of al ervaring hebben met handtherapie en zich verder willen verdiepen in de verschillende aspecten van chirurgie en therapie. Het doel van de opleiding handtherapie is de uitwisseling van ervaringen, verdieping van kennis en bedreven raken in bepaalde vaardigheden op het specifieke gebied van de handtherapie om patiënten met een breed scala van handaandoeningen effectief volgens hedendaagse methodes te kunnen onderzoeken en behandelen.

Tot en met 2020 heeft deze opleiding onder de naam Praktijk Opleiding Handtherapie georganiseerd maar in 2020 is er een samenwerking aangegaan met de Esser Masterclass stichting van de afdeling Plastische, Reconstructieve en Hand Chirurgie van het Erasmus MC.
